Austin KVUE's Erin Ochoa story on Detox and Ionithermie
Imagine losing several inches without diet or exercise. It may sound too good to be true, but there's a new treatment that promises to trim inches and break up cellulite.

The treatment is called Ionithermie detoxification. During the 30 minutes it takes to administer the treatment, experts say it can help you lose anywhere between two and six inches.
Michelle Doty is getting a jump-start on the holidays.
"Holiday season, going to parties, wanting to look good, and trying not to add on those extra five pounds we all do for the holiday season," said Doty.
Instead of relying solely on diet and exercise, she's trying a new detoxification treatment called Ionithermie.
"Basically, it's an electrical stimulus that pulses current into the body via a conductive medium, which is the French thermal clay," said Kevyn Sebastian, a massage therapist.
Sebastian administers the treatment. After thoroughly exfoliating the skin, she mixes up the clay and places electrodes anywhere on the body, or even the face.
Sebastian says the electrodes boost the body's lymphatic system and metabolism, tone muscles, and can even reduce the appearance of cellulite.
"This really smoothes the skin topically and then also helps break up those stuck, dense toxins which give your cell a weird-shapen look and then dimple the skin as a result," said Sebastian.
Sebastian says it can also help shed anywhere from two to six inches, depending on the areas of the body being treated.
For Michelle Doty, her loss is also her gain
"I feel great......my shirt is looser. It's great. I lost two inches, said Doty.
Sebastian says the treatment keeps working for about 36 hours after it's administered. She suggests using Ionithermie about once a month. Each session costs about $150.
